Analysis On “The End of the Email Era”
Collaborative software that enabled sharing of updates on projects has existed for a very long time. I see no great ideas being possed by these new features just more useless bells and whistles that keep Read more [...]

I was always willing to overlook what some would perceive as personal weaknesses in a candidate who had the strengths we needed, because most weaknesses do not get in the way of getting the job done. And I think that I was successful in picking people and created a few world class teams.
But sometimes the weaknesses do get in the way Read more [...]

Light Skinned Black People
-- Featured Comments --
I'm an African American female, and I've always thought the Democrats were more racist than Republicans supposedly were. This remark seems to support my thesis. It's not really the comment here, but the IDEA behind the comment. What were the ideas?
* Light skinned black people are far more desirable than dark-skinned ones. This is a carry over from slavery where the lighter-skinned blacks (who were often the children of the slave owner) were given easier jobs than the Read more [...]

Yesterday, I noted:

"Much like the fabled Kennedy v Nixon televised debate this scene will be studied and viewed over and over again by body-language experts and presentation gurus; every nuance of MCBigO's pain, irritation and rage will be talked about in great detail, distilled down to tips on how not to behave on camera in difficult situations....i.e. don't appear frozen (for over 3 mins) in the "predatory" pose, ready to Read more [...]
45 Degree Angle

Considering that most coach seats today are configured for the 5'4" 110 lb person, I am amazed that the level of politeness seen on flights is as high as it is. For any 6' 200 lb male with a shoulder breadth of 19", an hour's flight can be an excruciating experience:
1. in the window seat you're sitting with your torso cocked at a 45 degree angle
2. in the middle seat you're sitting with your elbows locked in your belly button and your shoulders touching each other

Peak oil? You'll get a lot of push-back from geologists and people like myself who look at oil and gas exploration for a living. I don't believe for a minute we've reached peak oil. Peak oil is economicaly and technologically driven. Fracked gas by the way, targets formations devoid of water, else you ruin the wells. The problems created in gas exploration are largely from poor cement jobs shallow or bad water disposal. That is an entirely different discussion.
