My Take On “Dorothy Rabinowitz: The Republican Who Can Win”
Let me see if I got this. Instead of talking about the economy or jobs the Republican candidate should: a) emphasize how we weren't diminished by torturing our adversaries, we were taking action that said more than words, could, er, say - like a mob shouting USA! USA! at some dumb schmuck who probably never existed b) remind the voters that foreign policy only consists of two things from the second half of the twentieth century - Israel and Russia. c) this one cannot be emphasized enough, because Read more [...]
A Response To “Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD)”
My legs have hurt me ever since I was about 8 years old. I am now 53. First the doctors told my parents it was growing pains. Now they tell me it's arthritis. They don't understand the pain I have. The arthritis doctor I see gave me some medicine I take when it's bedtime. But it does not help with the pain during the day. My primary doctor tells me I need to take up swimming, that my tighs are bigger then they should be.He is really crude. I don't smoke and I don't drink. There is not one doctor Read more [...]
My View On “Après le Déluge, What?”
What specific policies of conservatives have led to the current state of affairs ala the welfare state? Conservatives argue for personal responsibilty and accountability, hard work, discipline, a respect for God and Country, respect for authority, an understanding of true service and service to others, respect for private property, paying one's own way and expecting government to spend within its means, fairness in taxation, limited government and an expectation that what does respect mean government Read more [...]
Thoughts On “A Field Guide to Obnoxious Eating”
I can't stand eating sounds. Not found effects of eating disorders gum cracking, either, although I know it is prized by many as a highly developed skill. I don't go in for food smells, either. Add to that not cleaning up your refuse. Some time ago I shared space with an individual who did not stop eating all day. I finally had to ask that the eating stop, just for a few minutes. Slurp, crunch, snort. All day long. And I agree with those who think it is part of the overall decline and fall. Have Read more [...]
My Analysis On “Après le Déluge, What?”
When the toe, once part of a beautiful, and athletic foot, becomes gangrenous, what is one to do? It had such potential. At one time, innocent, optimistic, joyful. Now? You cut it off. Perhaps with some of the healthy eating tips foot, to insure the safety of the rest of the leg.
When the tissue, once part of a healthy breast, becomes cancerous, what is one to do? Once intended to nurture, and once the object of desire. Now? You excise it. And discard it. And rebuild that which is healthy and was Read more [...]
An Opinion On “U.S. Gears Up to Reset Tone With Beijing”
Beware: Communist China is more than a 'strategic competitor', it is an enemy, if not 'the' enemy.
They seek to undermine the interests definition of friendship the US and the free world geopolitically (Pakistan/North Korea nukes, Sudan/Syria genocides, etc.), economically (currency manipulation, IP theft, etc.), militarily ('South China' Sea, stealth fighters, cyberwarfare, etc.), and in terms of human rights (Tibet, Uighurs, Falun Gong, jailed Nobel Laureates, etc.).
'Friendship' with these guys Read more [...]
Criticism On “Existing”
It's hard to say because currently there is a negative feedback feedback circle. Prices go down, giving more people an economical incentive to walk away from their mortgage, increasing the number of foreclosures that then pushes the prices further down.
It will only end when the unemployment numbers improve and people would again get some level of job security. Only at such time enough people would feel comfortable to buy new houses and for the right reasons, not due to artificial and temporal government Read more [...]
Commentary On “Eliot A. Cohen: Why Gen. Stanley McChrystal Has to Go”
It will be interesting to see if Obama takes the definition of emotional intelligence route and fires or if he takes the deliberative route and keeps him on. If he takes the emotional route, countries like China that learn from that and exploit his emotional weakness.
What did McCrystal say that was so bad? If McCrystal should be fired for what his aides said, then shouldn't Obama step down for what his aides said? (Remember VanJones, etc., etc. etc.) Should McCrystal be held to a higher standard Read more [...]
Thoughts On “‘Superjobs’: Why You Work More, Enjoy It Less”
Yeah I understand. I had a manager once that treated everyone on the team very badly, and he just couldn't figure out why we all left not a minute past our 8 hours. It's just amazing to me how to become more confident managers and companies think by treating their employees bad that their employees will bend over backwards for them. Most of the time I'm confident that the managers are totally incompetent. The only real solution to this is to never be dependent on your job, always have enough in savings Read more [...]
Analysis On “R. Albert Mohler Jr.: Evangelicals and the Gay Moral Revolution”
Both glutmotivation to lose weightn and homosexual are expected to repent. If you think that one should turn a blind eye to open expression of homosexual behaviour in church, why not accept practicing nudists and polygamists and pretend they are not nude or with multiple child brides? The whole thing dies a death of a thousand qualifications. Outside of church, in the secular world, you can do your thing. How can you honestly respect the institution and flagrantly ignore a well-known prohibition? Read more [...]
